Inprosec People & Talent: Samuel Tomé Álvarez

Today we interview Samuel Tomé Álvarez, from Grupo Inprosec’s sales team. We hope you enjoy learning about his experience working at our company.

What is your role within Inprosec?

I support the National sales team, and right now I’m developing the initial phase of the sales process for this portfolio, connecting with potential clients and identifying their needs. I also collaborate with the marketing department on the development and maintenance of the CRM, and on other initiatives.

What would you highlight about your role within the company?

The ability to open up valuable conversations with potential clients and turn them into real business opportunities. Being involved afterwards in the rest of the process allows me to understand sales from start to finish.

What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?

The beginning of my career, since it’s my first job after studying Business Administration and Management. At Inprosec I’ve discovered my passion for the world of sales and information security.

How do you manage to balance your personal and professional life?

I try to organise my days so that, once the workday is over, I can fully disconnect, whether with my friends or in my second job as a youth football coach.

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?

The opportunity it offers to specialise in a fairly unknown, niche sector, which is also a great competitive advantage for a career as a salesperson in the B2B sector.

Tell us about an anecdote that caught your attention during a moment in your time at Inprosec.

More than a specific anecdote, what impressed me was the quality of the relationships within the team. Specifically, at the Christmas dinner, I was surprised by how open and sociable people in the company are, and I had the chance to see the team in a different context. Integration is strongly encouraged from day one.

As an employee of a company specialised in cybersecurity, what is your advice for any entrepreneur just starting out regarding their systems?

Cybersecurity should be approached preventively from the very beginning. Just as you wouldn’t leave your front door open when you go out, corporate systems must be protected and have controlled access to avoid risks that, by the time they’re detected, are often already too late to address.

What are your hobbies once the workday is over?

My main hobby is also my second job: youth football coach, specifically coaching young goalkeepers.

Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next, and why?

I nominate Pedro Jiménez Villarejo who, as an SAP consultant, surely has some very interesting things to tell us.
