Today we interview Daniel Sarasate, SAP Consultant at Grupo Inprosec. We hope you enjoy getting to know his experience working at our company.
What is your role at Inprosec?
My current role at Inprosec is SAP Consultant. I protect SAP systems by redesigning role models (RMR) to eliminate excessive access and Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts.
What would you highlight about your responsibilities within the company?
What I highlight most is the ability to transform complex, chaotic SAP environments into ordered, secure, and efficient systems.
What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?
Inprosec has been my first job and a great opportunity within the cybersecurity sector — the opportunity that has allowed me to specialise in SAP security. It has been the ideal environment in which to grow professionally and learn from highly skilled experts.
What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?
What I value most is the excellent team atmosphere and the constant exchange of knowledge amongst colleagues, which makes daily learning much easier.
Tell us an anecdote that has stuck with you from your time at Inprosec.
One anecdote that left a mark on me happened shortly after I joined, during the widespread power cut. While we waited for the lights to come back on, we all went outside together to enjoy the sunshine and have a drink — a real testament to the great team spirit here.
As an employee of a company specialised in cybersecurity, what is your advice for any business owner just starting out with regard to their systems?
My key piece of advice is to integrate security by design. It is far cheaper to protect a system from the outset than to remedy a breach after the fact.
What are your hobbies after the working day?
After work, I like to switch off by training CrossFit or going hiking out in nature. I also make the most of my free time to relax and enjoy video games every now and then.
Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next, and why?
I nominate Adrián González Pérez, as he was one of the first colleagues I made at Inprosec and I am sure he has plenty to share.
