On Wednesday, September 17, Inprosec, in collaboration with our partner CUVIV, hosted a webinar focused on the centralized management of internal controls and how to facilitate regulatory compliance through SAP GRC Process Control.
During the event, two sessions were held:
- At 10:00 AM (CET), with a primarily European audience.
- At 5:00 PM (10:00 AM COT, 9:00 AM MX), aimed at the Latin American audience.
Both sessions were led by Brath Miraz, SAP Senior Consultant at Inprosec, and included active participation from attendees, who asked questions and shared common experiences about the challenges their organizations face regarding control and compliance.
Main Topic
The session addressed current challenges in internal control management, especially in organizations working with both SAP and non-SAP environments, where risks such as unauthorized access, lack of segregation of duties, and unapproved changes are becoming increasingly common.
Key topics covered included:
- Automation of controls through Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM), allowing real-time process monitoring, detection of deviations, and generation of early alerts.
- Standardization of manual controls via Manual Control Performance (MCP) to ensure consistency, traceability, and clear evidence for audits.
- Unifying SAP and non-SAP controls on a single platform to improve global visibility and reduce audit costs and times.
- The positive impact of SAP GRC Process Control in reducing operational risks, improving security, and optimizing regulatory compliance.
Highlighted Benefits
Participants gained first-hand insights into how SAP GRC Process Control helps to:
- Reduce workload during audits with automatic, always-available evidence.
- Increase operational efficiency and decrease human error through automation.
- Prevent penalties and protect business value thanks to more robust and documented compliance.
- Scale the control system without significantly increasing required resources.
Conclusion
The webinar confirmed that, regardless of the region, compliance challenges are similar: time-consuming audits, scattered controls, and the need for reliable and centralized information. At Inprosec, we thank all the attendees for their interest and for sharing their concerns.
