Today we interview Eduardo Castillo (SAP & GRC Consultant). We hope you can learn about his experience working in our company.
What is your role within Inprosec?
My position within the company is SAP & GRC Security Consultant. I have participated in various projects since joining the team, but for the past couple of months, I have mainly focused on providing service to the end client.
What would you highlight about your functions within the company?
I believe that through the services, I have had the opportunity to work more closely with colleagues who have a lot of experience in this area. Thanks to this, I have learned new things during the time I have been working closely with them. Additionally, I think it also gives you the opportunity to interact more directly with the end client.
What has Inprosec meant in your professional career?
Inprosec is my first professional work experience, so I believe it will always be a very important part of my professional career, whatever the future holds for me.
How do you manage to reconcile personal and professional life?
The truth is that the opportunity to telecommute three days a week, flexible working hours, and finishing work at 2:00 PM on Fridays allows me to manage both aspects of my life without any problems.
What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?
There are two aspects that I find valuable in Inprosec.
On one hand, there is the issue of flexible working hours and the option to telecommute since they facilitate many aspects of personal life when you have an emergency. Besides, working from home is very comfortable.
On the other hand, something I really value about the company is the work environment. As I mentioned before, Inprosec is my first work experience, so I have no way to compare, but I feel that a work environment like the one in Inprosec is not something you come across everywhere. There is truly a friendly and trusting atmosphere among the company’s employees.
Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention in a situation in a stage in Inprosec
Since I started working at the company, I have had the opportunity to attend some football matches that they organize approximately every month, and the truth is that I think it’s a great way to get to know your colleagues better and clear your mind a bit after a long week.
As an employee of a company specializing in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is just starting out regarding their systems?
I think the cybersecurity sector is one that is constantly growing and will continue to grow exponentially as the years go by due to the technological evolution of our environment. Someone who wants to start in this field should already have experience within the sector and also properly train their employees.
What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?
I have several hobbies. I enjoy playing video games, although lately I usually only dedicate time to them when I play with my friends. I am a lover of cinema and television, so when I have time, I like to watch a movie or series that catches my attention.
I also enjoy collecting figures, volumes of manga that I like, assembling plastic models (mainly robots), and going for a bike ride when the weather allows.
