Last Thursday afternoon, Inprosec commemorated its 15-year journey with a special event held at the Pazo Los Escudos in Vigo. The occasion combined knowledge, reflection and networking in a professional and enriching environment. The event brought together industry professionals, clients, partners, employees, and friends of the company, reinforcing Inprosec’s ongoing commitment to excellence in cybersecurity.

Institutional Opening

The event began with an emotional opening speech by Álvaro Gómez, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Law at UIE. In his address, he highlighted the evolution of the cybersecurity sector to date, the role Inprosec has played in that transformation, and how the company’s growth has contributed to the professional and academic development of the field.

First Session: Inprosec’s Past, Present, and Future

Next, Inprosec’s three founding partners, Iago Fortes, Roi Fortes and José González delivered a talk titled “Driving Cybersecurity: Inprosec’s Past, Present and Future.” They walked through the company’s key milestones since its founding in 2010, reviewing its team growth, international expansion, and the current challenges faced by the cybersecurity sector. The session concluded with a roundtable discussion on the future of cybersecurity and the role Inprosec aims to play.

Second Session: SAP Security from Within

The second session was a roundtable titled “SAP Security from the Internal Perspective of Organizations,” moderated by José González. Participants included Rubén Gil (Daikin Europe), José Martín Pérez, and Brath Miraz (SAP Senior Consultants at Inprosec). The panel explored real-world challenges in SAP environments, emphasizing the importance of tailoring security strategies to each organization’s unique context.

Third Session: The Great Security Paradox

Following a short break, Alfonso García delivered a thought-provoking talk titled “Shielded and Vulnerable: The Great Paradox.” Using real cases and current data, he explored how increasing cybersecurity investment doesn’t guarantee immunity against threats. He stressed the need for strategies built on resilience, risk management, and a strong culture of security across all levels of an organization.

Fourth Session: Industrial Cybersecurity in Focus

The formal part of the event concluded with a roundtable titled “Beyond IT: The New OT Agenda of the CISO,” organized by InprOTech — Inprosec’s industrial cybersecurity spin-out. Moderated by Pedro Estévez, the session featured leading voices in the sector including Óscar Iglesias (InprOTech), Carlos Blanco (Hijos de Rivera), Carlos Valerdi (INGECOM), and Edwin Macías. The discussion focused on the specific challenges of securing industrial (OT) environments and the need for a broad, strategic approach.

Recognition & Celebration

Before moving on to the evening’s social segment, Inprosec presented a series of tokens of appreciation to Tamara Rivera, Miguel Fonte, Yoel Rodríguez and Javier Nogueira for their dedication and contributions over the years. A special recognition was also given to Iago Fortes. Following this, the three partners gathered to blow out the candles on the anniversary cake, sharing a meaningful and symbolic moment with all attendees.

Networking, Terrace & Celebration

After the talks, attendees enjoyed a dinner on the hotel terrace, taking advantage of the pleasant weather to continue conversations and celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere — a fitting close to a very special day in Inprosec’s history.

Finally, we at Inprosec would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for this meaningful occasion: speakers, clients, partners, colleagues, and friends. Your presence, engagement, and support are what make it possible for us to keep growing and facing new challenges with enthusiasm. This 15th anniversary was not only a celebration of our past, but also a boost of energy to continue building the future of cybersecurity together. Thank you for being part of our story!
