Today we interview Paula Marcelino, member of our Sales team. We hope you get to know about his experience working at our company.

What is your role at Inprosec?

My role as a Key Account Manager focuses on what matters most to us: the client. I am responsible for nurturing relationships with our key customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring they receive the best possible service. For me, every client is a priority, and my job is to support them, provide solutions, and guarantee that their experience with us is outstanding. My motto: if they grow and trust us, we grow too.

What would you highlight about your role in the company?

What I would highlight the most is that you never have time to get bored. Working in a sector like cybersecurity, where everything changes so quickly, means you are in constant adaptation. It requires staying up to date and stepping out of your comfort zone, but that’s also what makes it interesting. For me, one of the biggest challenges was moving from selling more generalist services to operating in a much more technical environment. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been very rewarding. I also value the fact that it’s not just about selling, but about truly understanding the client and finding a solution that makes sense. That gives the role real purpose and makes it more complete.

What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?

Inprosec is, without a doubt, a key stage in my career. It presents me with constant challenges and pushes me to learn quickly in a sector that was completely new to me. Here, I am developing both technical and commercial skills that I didn’t have before, and that makes me grow professionally. I’m a very ambitious person, with a constant need for improvement and growth, and the pace of work and level of specialization required here motivate me to keep moving forward every day.

How do you manage to balance personal and professional life?

It’s not always easy, especially because my role requires adapting to the schedules set by the client. I always try to organize myself so I can fulfill my responsibilities without neglecting what truly matters: my well-being and my family. For me, taking care of my personal life is essential to feeling good and performing better.

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?

What I value most is the opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally. Inprosec has opened the door to a sector I find fascinating and has brought me into contact with people from very diverse backgrounds, from whom I learn a great deal every day. I also appreciate the trust placed in me to take on responsibilities, and the fact that each day is filled with opportunities to learn and continuously improve.

Tell us an anecdote that stood out to you during your time at Inprosec.

I remember my first day at Inprosec. I was stepping into a completely new world and, upon arrival, the first thing I saw was a meeting where everyone was speaking in jargon, using tools and abbreviations I didn’t understand. I took notes on everything without having a clear idea of what they were talking about. On the second day, I went to a cybersecurity event… and my questions multiplied. When we left, one of my colleagues saw my notebook full of scribbles and, smiling, said: “Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.”

As an employee of a cybersecurity-focused company, what advice would you give to any entrepreneur starting out regarding their systems?

My advice is clear: cybersecurity is essential from day one, regardless of the size of the business. Digital threats evolve quickly and can affect anyone. That’s why it’s crucial to invest in protection from the start, maintain constant vigilance, and train your team to respond quickly to any issue. This way, you avoid bigger problems and can focus on growing your business with peace of mind.

What are your hobbies after the workday?

When I finish work, I like to truly disconnect. I love traveling and discovering new places, but I also really enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I’m also a fan of long walks by the sea, the beach, and, of course, the chiringuitos, those beach bars where listening to the ocean and soaking up the great atmosphere instantly recharge my batteries. Those are the moments that help me maintain balance and return energized the next day.

Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next and why?

I nominate Paula Marcelino because I would love to learn more about her career and experience at Inprosec.
