Inprosec People & Talent: Elisabeth Solla

Today we interview Elisabeth Solla, Back Office Accounting Support. We hope you get to know about his experience working at our company.

What is your role at Inprosec?

I am part of the Finance department, where I handle accounting management, treasury and tax filing, as well as coordinating various key administrative tasks that are essential to the company’s day-to-day operations.

What would you highlight about your role in the company?

I would highlight the responsibility and impact that the finance area has on how the company runs. Although it may not always be the most visible part, it is fundamental to keeping everything in order and enabling decisions to be made based on financial data. I like knowing that, through rigorous and organised management, I contribute stability and peace of mind to the team, ensuring the company has a solid foundation from which to keep growing.

What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?

Joining Inprosec has been a very significant turning point in my professional career. After 10 years in the advisory sector, making the leap to a technology company specialising in cybersecurity has been an incredibly rewarding challenge. It has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, adapt my financial knowledge to a more dynamic and innovative environment, and gain a different perspective on the business. It has undoubtedly been a period of both professional and personal growth.

How do you manage to balance personal and professional life?

For me, the key lies in organisation. In the finance area there are busier periods, but I plan my tasks to meet my responsibilities without neglecting my personal life. On top of that, having a flexible schedule and the option to work remotely makes that balance much easier, and allows me to dedicate time to things I enjoy, such as spending time with my family and my pet.

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?

What I enjoy most about working here is the combination of professionalism, collaboration and flexibility. I learn something new every day in such a dynamic sector as cybersecurity, where there is always something new to discover and innovate on. The team also makes everything so much easier: collaboration is encouraged, there is always support when you need it, and you are constantly learning from one another.

Tell us an anecdote that stood out to you during your time at Inprosec.

I remember the day of my job interview: I was so nervous that I got lost inside the building — I couldn’t find the office door and pressed the wrong button in the lift, not knowing which floor I was on. (I have to say the place is actually easy to navigate — my nerves just got the better of me!)

As an employee of a cybersecurity-focused company, what advice would you give to any entrepreneur starting out regarding their systems?

My advice would be to never underestimate security from the very beginning. Although it may seem like an extra expense or effort when starting out, putting secure systems and good practices in place from day one prevents far greater problems down the line.

What are your hobbies after the workday?

In winter I am very much a blanket-and-movie kind of person, but when the weather is nice I love going to the beach, walking my pet, grabbing a drink on a terrace, or enjoying live music.

Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next and why?

I nominate my colleague Raquel, from People & Talent, because I find her work at the company really interesting and I would love to learn more about her experience and vision.
