Webinar on IT Control Matrix and Monitoring through GRC PC CCM

On March 13th, we conducted a webinar on “IT Control Matrix and Monitoring through GRC PC CCM to Ensure Audit Success” led by Jose Martin Perez Del Prado, Senior Consultant and specialist in SAP security and SAP GRC. The webinar was hosted on the CUVIV platform with two one-hour sessions, a morning session for attendees in Europe and an afternoon session for the LATAM audience.

It was a very interesting webinar with a total of 56 attendees, where we conducted 3 polls during the session to gauge the attendees’ opinions on 3 key topics discussed during the session.

  • The importance of using internal control systems for proactive risk management.
  • The benefits of having an IT control matrix for proactive IT risk management.
  • Efficient audit management – We reviewed 9 situations that commonly generate uncertainty/doubts in clients within the audit process and proposed a solution for each case to improve process efficiency.
  • Introduction to monitoring and the transition from “manual monitoring” to “automated monitoring” with the use of technologies with the ultimate goal of:
    • Efficiency improvement
    • Early remediation
    • Reduction of manual steps/cost saving.
  • Demonstration with practical examples of:
    • IT risk and control matrix (3 IT controls and analysis of potential technologies to use for their automation)
    • Monitoring reports and dashboards
    • Automated monitoring of IT controls already implemented in clients through the use of GRC Process Controls (CCM) from the control owner’s perspective by means of:
      • Receipt of the deficiency
      • Remediation plans
      • Monitoring using standard reports
