However, SAP\u00a9 offers an alternative for creating a new request type. This is important when you need to create different variants of the same provisioning process. For example, when using HR triggers, you would like to define different scenarios when changing the Infotype 0000 to detect promotions, department changes, sick leave or other activities that may affect the User Management Area.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9147\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"701\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-3.png 1476w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-3-300x80.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-3-1024x273.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-3-600x160.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If based on the Organization requirements, a new custom request type needs to be added, it is important to understand that a custom GRC Initiator is required to be created and remove the default one that is appearing within the Global Rules of the MSMP Configuration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Connection with Active Directory<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The ARM module can be connected to Active Directory in order to have a Data Source for User Information. This capability was described in a previous article \u201cActive Directory as User Data Source for SAP\u00a9 GRC\u201d that was published in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>HR triggers with HCM or Success Factors<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This functionality is really recommended if you have a HCM application or Success Factors system. The purpose of this feature is to create an ARM request based on what is happening inside the HCM\/Success Factors Application. As an example, if there is a new employee who is being created in HCM or Success Factors, the ARM module can automatically raise a request for the creation of the SAP\u00a9 User ID. This capability will save a lot of effort in the user provisioning process, it will make the organization more efficient since there is no requirement for the ARM Request creation when having this tool available. On the other hand, HR triggers will make the Leavers process\u00a0 much more robust. Removing the SAP\u00a9 User ID from a Leaver can be performed automatically using HR Triggers. The HR department will mark the employee as\u00a0 \u201cLeaver\u201d and the GRC system will automatically remove the account from the Organization\u00b4s SAP\u00a9 systems. This feature will help to reduce the risk of having SAP\u00a9 Accounts still active inside the SAP\u00a9 system for a person who already left the Organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>End User Logon Application<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The ARM module provides an application that will remove the requirement to have a SAP\u00a9 User Account inside the GRC system in order to create an ARM request.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9149\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"701\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-4.png 1587w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-4-300x122.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-4-1024x415.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-4-600x243.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to note that not all the options that are available inside the NWBC are included in the End User Application. This\u00a0 function needs to be executed by defining a new custom field as part of the Access Request template.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9153\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"703\" height=\"111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-6.png 1171w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-6-300x47.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-6-1024x162.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-6-600x95.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the Custom Field is available inside the ARM request, it is necessary to map this field with the License Field that exists inside the Plug-In system. This setting needs to be performed inside the \u201cMaintain Mapping for Actions and Connector Group\u201d that exist inside the SPRO transaction configuration:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9155\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"140\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-7.png 745w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-7-300x60.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-7-600x120.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>Default Roles<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ARM module provides a feature where you can establish a specific group of roles that will be included inside an ARM request as soon as the establish criteria has been met.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9157\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"537\" height=\"278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-8.png 537w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-8-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 537px) 100vw, 537px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In some organizations there is a specific group of roles that needs to be assigned to every SAP\u00a9 User ID, therefore this feature is suitable for those type of scenarios. However, this option is more flexible and you can establish conditions for the following attributes in order to reduce the effort in the ARM request creation and also to standardize roles selection based on predefined criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9159\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-9.png 690w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-9-300x222.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-9-600x443.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This option \u201cDefault Roles\u201d is being establish inside the NWBC configuration:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Request Type Information<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a specific request that is part of the Default request that was created by SAP\u00a9, which can be used in a more generic way. Most of the requests that are part of the default request types are related to provisioning activities (e.g. Creation, Modification, Deletion, Lock, Unlock,\u2026), but this type is a generic one that will not perform any action inside of the Plug-In system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9161\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"511\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-10.png 511w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-10-300x247.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 511px) 100vw, 511px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Usage of this type of ARM Request could be related to another process such as confirmation of an authorization matrix, confirmation of assignment of purchase release levels\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9163\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"702\" height=\"141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-11.png 1600w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-11-300x60.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-11-1024x206.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-11-600x121.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>User Defaults<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This feature is really interesting for organizations which are working in different countries where decimal notation, format date, spool output device, logon language differs for each user.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application allows to define a criteria that, when obtained, the system will automatically establish the value of Decimal Notation, Date Format and the other previous attributes that were described in the previous paragraph. The configuration of this feature needs to be performed through BRF Rules and SAP\u00a9 is delivering a standard SAP\u00a9 rule for it:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-9165\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-12.png 963w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-12-300x99.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Additional-Features-ARM-12-600x198.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As an example, you can automate the provisioning of SAP\u00a9 Accounts that are operating in the USA, where the decimal notation differs from the European side.
