Through <strong>SAP\u00ae GRC Access Control<\/strong>, organizations can centrally manage risks related to <strong>users, roles, and business processes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Risk Analysis in SAP\u00ae: What Types of Reports Does the GRC Dashboard Offer?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>User Analysis Dashboard<\/h3>\n<p>This <strong>dashboard<\/strong> provides a <strong>detailed view of users with active risks<\/strong> in SAP\u00ae. Ideally, most roles (from a <strong>&#8220;Single Role&#8221; perspective<\/strong>) should be categorized as <strong>&#8220;Roles with no violations.&#8221;<\/strong> If not, a <strong>SAP role redesign project<\/strong> may be required.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13320 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Imagen7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"56\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The analysis is executed via <strong>transaction codes SE38 or SA38<\/strong> by running the following program:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>GRAC_BATCH_RISK_ANALYSIS<\/strong>\u201d.This report also shows the <strong>comparison between role-level risks and user-level risks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Imagen8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"245\" height=\"129\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Risk Violations Dashboard<\/h3>\n<p>As described in the previous dashboards (<strong>\u201cUser Analysis\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cRole Analysis\u201d<\/strong>), the <strong>\u201cRisk Violation\u201d<\/strong> dashboard has the same functionality but from a <strong>risk conflict perspective<\/strong>. The report also maintains the <strong>same visual structure<\/strong> as the others.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13312 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Imagen9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, these reports detail <strong>risk conflicts by business process<\/strong> (inherent from the risk), and are also <strong>interactive<\/strong>, allowing users to extract specific information for each business process.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13314 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Imagen10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"249\" height=\"89\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Imagen8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"245\" height=\"129\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>SAP\u00ae GRC Batch Risk Analysis<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>Program Execution<\/h3>\n<p>As previously mentioned, the data displayed in the <strong>dashboards<\/strong> is based on the execution of the <strong>SAP Batch Risk Analysis Program<\/strong> (via <strong>SE38\/SA38<\/strong>, using the program name <strong>\u201cGRAC_BATCH_RISK_ANALYSIS\u201d<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>However, there are <strong>configuration options<\/strong> that can alter the information shown in the dashboards. The <strong>Batch Risk Analysis Program<\/strong> can be filtered by the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>User Type<\/strong> (System\/Communication users can be excluded)<\/li>\n<li><strong>User or User Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Risk Type<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Action level<\/li>\n<li><strong>Permission level<\/strong> (Permissions \/ Critical Actions \/ Critical Permissions)<\/li>\n<li>Critical Roles\/Profiles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the <strong>GRC system<\/strong> allows the definition of <strong>exceptions<\/strong> as part of the risk analysis process. This option can be found in <strong>transaction SPRO<\/strong>, under:<strong> \u201cMaintain Exclude Objects for Batch Risk Analysis\u201d<\/strong>, and allows excluding value ranges by system for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Users<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Roles<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Profiles<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>User Groups<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Parameters<\/h3>\n<p>You can also define <strong>additional criteria<\/strong> for the <strong>Batch Risk Analysis<\/strong> by using the <strong>Parameters section<\/strong> in the <strong>SAP\u00ae GRC<\/strong> system.<\/p>\n<p>Recommended parameters include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1027<\/strong>: Enable Offline Risk Analysis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1028<\/strong>: Include expired users.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1029<\/strong>: Include locked users.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1030<\/strong>: Include mitigated risks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1031<\/strong>: Ignore critical roles and profiles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1032<\/strong>: Include reference users during user analysis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1033<\/strong>: Include mitigating controls in role\/profile risk an\u00e1lisis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depending on your organization&#8217;s policies and requirements, you can choose <strong>\u201cYes\u201d<\/strong> or <strong>\u201cNo\u201d<\/strong> for each parameter. It is <strong>strongly recommended<\/strong> to activate parameter <strong>1027 (Value: \u201cYes\u201d)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you want to run a <strong>Batch Risk Analysis excluding locked or expired users<\/strong>, set parameters <strong>1028<\/strong> and <strong>1029<\/strong> to <strong>\u201cNo\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>SAP\u00ae Table Information<\/h3>\n<p>When your system has parameter <strong>1027<\/strong> (<strong>Enable Offline Risk Analysis<\/strong>) activated, the <strong>Batch Risk Analysis results<\/strong> are stored in <strong>SAP\u00ae system tables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The main table containing the <strong>most detailed Batch Risk Analysis information<\/strong> is: <strong>GRACUSERPRMVL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This table stores all relevant data about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Users<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Risks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Conflicts<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since the previously mentioned dashboards <strong>segment the information by users, risks, and conflicts<\/strong>, this table provides a <strong>very practical way<\/strong> to extract all the information in a <strong>consolidated manner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, note that the table stores <strong>historical data<\/strong> from all previous batch risk analyses. It is recommended to <strong>filter by the \u201cTimestamp\u201d field<\/strong> to avoid displaying outdated users, risks, or conflicts.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Key Points<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scheduling the Batch Risk Analysis<\/strong> activates all <strong>standard SAP\u00ae GRC Access Control dashboards<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interaction within the GRC dashboards<\/strong> helps identify <strong>users and roles generating risks<\/strong> within the SAP\u00ae system.<\/li>\n<li>It is advisable to <strong>exclude System-type users<\/strong> from the analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Use the <strong>Excluded Objects<\/strong> option to provide <strong>relevant data for stakeholders<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Batch Risk Analysis provides monthly data<\/strong>. Therefore, when scheduling the program, the <strong>last day of the month<\/strong> will remain visible on the GRC dashboard (though data will update with each monthly execution).<\/li>\n<li><strong>GRC system parameters<\/strong> allow exclusion of <strong>statuses not typically considered<\/strong>, such as <strong>expired users<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Activating parameter 1027<\/strong> is <strong>highly recommended<\/strong> to <strong>store all analysis data<\/strong> within the <strong>SAP\u00ae GRC system<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>.
