14ENISE Spirit, the fourteenth edition of the International Meeting on Information Security<\/strong>, organized by the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), took place last week, on October 20 and 21, for the first time in virtual format, and in which our InprOTech team attended with its own stand for the second consecutive year. 14ENISE Spirit, a free access event and an international reference in the field of cybersecurity, offered a two-day programme of lectures in which professionals from the sector had the opportunity to discuss the new challenges posed by cybersecurity, in addition to presentations related to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Likewise, another great opportunity that this event offers is the International Business Forum, in which private sponsoring companies and international buyers can meet privately.<\/p>\n

First day<\/h2>\n

The welcome and opening ceremony was led by Rosa D\u00edaz, Director General of INCIBE, and later by the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, Carme Artigas, highlighting the importance of cyber security as one of the main axes of the roadmap for Espa\u00f1a Digital 2025. Subsequently, the various actions and programs of INCIBE to promote the competitiveness of the Spanish cybersecurity industry were presented, as well as the presentation of the National Cybersecurity Forum, constituted in July of this year, emphasizing the need for public-private collaboration. On this first day, the SPARTA pilot project was presented. This is a European-level cybersecurity competence network pilot project with the aim of developing and promoting new collaborative cybersecurity research and innovation activities in the EU.<\/p>\n

To close the first day of the event, topics such as the generation and retraining of talent as a cybersecurity challenge were addressed, promoting training in this area, as well as digital talent as a transformation of working environments, in which women references in the world of cybersecurity discussed the importance of having qualified professionals in cybersecurity and digital skills, presenting various initiatives such as Women4Cyber, InspiringGirls or STEM Talent Girl.<\/p>\n

Second day<\/h2>\n

The second day of the event began with the panel discussion, “Towards the future of cybersecurity”, in which those responsible for cybersecurity in Spanish companies such as Iberdrola Espa\u00f1a, IBM, ALSA and Grupo D\u00eda shared their views on the challenges facing companies in the field of cybersecurity. The AceleraPyme platform was also presented at this event. This is a platform for SMEs and the self-employed to access solutions, services, aid and tools offered by public and private collaborating entities in the current economic context.<\/p>\n

Another highlight of the day was the Reverse pitch investors, in which several investors briefly presented to the entrepreneurial public their investment policies in cyber security, showing what they are looking for as well as the opportunities they offer, thus helping to focus efforts on interested entrepreneurs, which was followed by the presentation of several successful cases of cyber security start-ups. To close the event, Nadia Calvi\u00f1o, Third Vice President and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, highlighted the importance of the initiatives carried out by INCIBE, such as the event itself, to encourage the collaboration of companies and professionals with the aim of increasing cybersecurity capabilities and promoting a global network of experts in this field. 14 ENISE Spirit had a total of 54 sponsoring companies, 35 speakers and up to 30 investors from 12 different countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
