Dropbox<\/a>, the storage service in the cloud, joins the web services that have suffered large-scale theft of passwords and personal data<\/strong>, as it recently happened to Twitter<\/a> or LinkedIn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In its official blog, Dropbox tried to reduce the importance of the\u00a0incident that happened in 2012, by saying that\u00a0they believe that no account had been stolen, but a few days ago, the \u00a0have recognized\u00a0that the attack affected more than 60 million accounts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How can you\u00a0check if a personal account has been hacked?<\/span><\/h4>\n

In order to verify if your account has been hacked, just enter your email adress in the portal “Have I Been pwned?<\/a>” and you will know if that account has been\u00a0leaked as a consecuence of a ciberattack<\/p>\n

How can you prevent your account being leaked?<\/span><\/h4>\n
    \n
  • If you see that your email has been compromised, change the password on that site<\/li>\n
  • Create strong and different passwords for each of your\u00a0sites<\/li>\n
  • Use a password manager<\/li>\n
  • Add another authentication step<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
