Last Thursday afternoon, Inprosec commemorated its 15-year journey with a special event held at the Pazo Los Escudos in Vigo. The occasion combined knowledge, reflection and networking in a professional and enriching environment. The event brought together industry professionals, clients, partners, employees, and friends of the company, reinforcing Inprosec\u2019s ongoing commitment to excellence in cybersecurity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Institutional Opening<\/span><\/h2>\n

The event began with an emotional opening speech by <\/span>\u00c1lvaro G\u00f3mez<\/span><\/a>, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Law at <\/span>UIE<\/span><\/a>. In his address, he highlighted the evolution of the cybersecurity sector to date, the role Inprosec has played in that transformation, and how the company\u2019s growth has contributed to the professional and academic development of the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

First Session: Inprosec\u2019s Past, Present, and Future<\/span><\/h2>\n

Next, Inprosec\u2019s three founding partners, <\/span>Iago Fortes<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Roi Fortes<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez<\/span><\/a> delivered a talk titled <\/span>\u201cDriving Cybersecurity: Inprosec\u2019s Past, Present and Future.\u201d<\/span><\/i> They walked through the company\u2019s key milestones since its founding in 2010, reviewing its team growth, international expansion, and the current challenges faced by the cybersecurity sector. The session concluded with a roundtable discussion on the future of cybersecurity and the role Inprosec aims to play.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second Session: SAP Security from Within<\/span><\/h2>\n

The second session was a roundtable titled <\/span>\u201cSAP Security from the Internal Perspective of Organizations,\u201d<\/span><\/i> moderated by <\/span>Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez<\/span><\/a>. Participants included <\/span>Rub\u00e9n Gil<\/span><\/a> (Daikin Europe), <\/span>Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00edn P\u00e9rez<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Brath Miraz<\/span><\/a> (SAP Senior Consultants at Inprosec). The panel explored real-world challenges in SAP environments, emphasizing the importance of tailoring security strategies to each organization\u2019s unique context.<\/span><\/p>\n

Third Session: The Great Security Paradox<\/span><\/h2>\n

Following a short break, <\/span>Alfonso Garc\u00eda<\/span><\/a> delivered a thought-provoking talk titled <\/span>\u201cShielded and Vulnerable: The Great Paradox.\u201d<\/span><\/i> Using real cases and current data, he explored how increasing cybersecurity investment doesn\u2019t guarantee immunity against threats. He stressed the need for strategies built on resilience, risk management, and a strong culture of security across all levels of an organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fourth Session: Industrial Cybersecurity in Focus<\/span><\/h2>\n

The formal part of the event concluded with a roundtable titled <\/span>\u201cBeyond IT: The New OT Agenda of the CISO,\u201d<\/span><\/i> organized by <\/span>InprOTech<\/span><\/a> \u2014 Inprosec\u2019s industrial cybersecurity spin-out. Moderated by <\/span>Pedro Est\u00e9vez<\/span><\/a>, the session featured leading voices in the sector including <\/span>\u00d3scar Iglesias<\/span><\/a> (InprOTech), <\/span>Carlos Blanco<\/span><\/a> (Hijos de Rivera), <\/span>Carlos Valerdi<\/span><\/a> (INGECOM), and <\/span>Edwin Mac\u00edas<\/span><\/a>. The discussion focused on the specific challenges of securing industrial (OT) environments and the need for a broad, strategic approach.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recognition & Celebration<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before moving on to the evening\u2019s social segment, Inprosec presented a series of tokens of appreciation to <\/span>Tamara Rivera<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Miguel Fonte<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Yoel Rodr\u00edguez<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Javier Nogueira<\/span><\/a> for their dedication and contributions over the years. A special recognition was also given to Iago Fortes. Following this, the three partners gathered to blow out the candles on the anniversary cake, sharing a meaningful and symbolic moment with all attendees.<\/span><\/p>\n

Networking, Terrace & Celebration<\/span><\/h2>\n

After the talks, attendees enjoyed a dinner on the hotel terrace, taking advantage of the pleasant weather to continue conversations and celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere \u2014 a fitting close to a very special day in Inprosec\u2019s history.<\/span><\/p>\n
