Today we interview Pedro Est\u00e9vez, member of our sales team. We hope you get to know about his experience working at our company.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your role at Inprosec?<\/h3>\n

I currently have a dual role; on one hand, I am the international commercial director, responsible for defining and supporting my team in executing the strategy that helps drive the growth of our security services abroad. On the other hand, in our industrial security division, I am responsible for business development.<\/span><\/p>\n

What would you highlight about your role in the company?<\/h3>\n

Perhaps the biggest challenge is forming a strategy and commercial team that allows us to be \u201cfew people in many places\u201d without losing our quality in customer service. We have set ambitious goals, and the whole company is doing its part to help propel us to the next level.<\/span><\/p>\n

What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?<\/h3>\n

For me, Inprosec has been a great challenge in my career. I have gone from managing people and processes in the industrial sector to doing so in the cybersecurity and consulting sector. The change has been radical, as you can imagine, both in the company’s processes and culture, as well as in the product-service that is offered. I\u2019m one of those people who is obsessed with understanding the product we sell and the business model that supports it, even though the business model is simpler than in the industry, the service is much more complex. This has made me return to the student stage in many cases.<\/span><\/p>\n

How do you manage to balance personal and professional life?<\/h3>\n

Well, the truth is that a significant part of my decision to join Inprosec was based on the possibility of balancing personal and professional life. While it’s true that the commercial direction involves having a very flexible schedule due to time zone differences with clients, Inprosec has made this easier for me.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?<\/h3>\n

On a personal level, without a doubt, the work-life balance, and professionally, the fact that I have met a group of people who enrich me every day and who have a profile very different from mine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tell us an anecdote that stood out to you during your time at Inprosec.<\/h3>\n

Rather than an anecdote, what has surprised me the most is the idiosyncrasy of the information security sector, where competitors are “partners.” I came from a highly competitive sector, where, if there was no mutual support, some companies ended up self-destructing.<\/span><\/p>\n

As an employee of a cybersecurity-focused company, what advice would you give to any entrepreneur starting out regarding their systems?<\/h3>\n

Well, I will rephrase the question. Rather than advice for someone new, I would like to give it to the industrial sector, which I have been a part of: No matter how well things have been done so far, the paradigm has changed. Production processes are becoming the targets of many cybercriminals. I understand that many have not yet fully optimized their IT security, but OT security is even more important; seeing your production compromised can result in incalculable financial losses and even greater qualitative losses: delivery delays, reputational damage to clients or investors… Prevention with monitoring and detection through services like Inprotech Guardian is more important than ever.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are your hobbies after the workday?<\/h3>\n

Right now, I have a mandatory hobby, which is my 8-month-old son! Between him and having to take care of two dogs… Let\u2019s just say my wife and I are kept very busy all day. In any case, it\u2019s what we love most, enjoying time with family.<\/span><\/p>\n
