Throughout the document, the concept will be grounded for the management of new accounts in an integrated way.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Systems involved in &#8220;Onboarding&#8221;<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, every company has a tool for managing employee requests, to name a few of the most popular: ServiceNow, Jira or 4ME. All of them allow, among a huge catalogue of options, to initiate onboarding flows for new employees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Originally, these tools do not have the option of interacting with the production ecosystem if this is SAP software, leaving this communication in the hands of teams that must manage it manually as both systems are isolated nodes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/herramienta-gestion-usuarios.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"697\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/herramienta-gestion-usuarios.png 888w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/herramienta-gestion-usuarios-300x78.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/herramienta-gestion-usuarios-600x157.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 697px) 100vw, 697px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This type of registration process requires the involvement of at least two administrative teams: one team transmits the requirements of the new employee, and a different one registers the accounts in the SAP system, as shown graphically in the following diagram:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11985\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/alta-cuentas-nuevas-SAP.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"429\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/alta-cuentas-nuevas-SAP.png 690w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/alta-cuentas-nuevas-SAP-300x187.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/alta-cuentas-nuevas-SAP-600x373.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this context, the initiative of an integration between the SAP GRC system and the external request management tool is proposed through a technology known as web services. This has the following technical characteristics:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They work with messages using SOAP protocol and XML programming language via the HTTP web standard.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They allow a direct data transmission channel between both ends.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Real-time communication.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11987\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/comunicacion-tiempo-real.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/comunicacion-tiempo-real.png 615w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/comunicacion-tiempo-real-300x104.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/comunicacion-tiempo-real-600x209.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 615px) 100vw, 615px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>Web Services in SAP GRC<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this integration technology, the SAP GRC system offers a wide range of connection typologies via WS for different functions, which will depend on the use required in each implementation. This will be a local account in the SAP GRC backend, of system type, which must have sufficient specific authorisations to be able to manage GRC requests (view logs, launch new requests, etc&#8230;).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11997\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/solicitudes-grc.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"505\" height=\"102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/solicitudes-grc.png 505w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/solicitudes-grc-300x61.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 505px) 100vw, 505px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The credentials of this user will be used to authenticate the service in each of the calls, thus granting access to SAP.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Example of execution<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To show a practical example, the service named GRAC_USER_ACCES_WS has been executed, which allows GRC requests to be created externally to the SAP ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this, it will first be necessary to build a SOAP query that carries all the necessary information collected for the new registration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This can be obtained as easily as by pro to the requesting employee covering basic data such as: Name, email address, SAP system required, authorisations needed, manager approving the request&#8230; etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once this query has been sent through the web service to the SAP system, through the integration user a new GRC request will be launched and its number will be returned to the system that originated the query, in the format shown in the following image:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11993\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nueva-solicitud-grc.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"691\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nueva-solicitud-grc.png 691w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nueva-solicitud-grc-300x59.png 300w, https:\/\/www.inprosec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nueva-solicitud-grc-600x117.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 691px) 100vw, 691px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From this point, the normal flow defined for each company in GRC is initiated.
